Still very good but had this iron/metallic element that I find in many Pinots that I don’t love. Don’t often find that in the Ceritas wines but a little here. Not overwhelming but knocks it down a peg for me in terms of overall enjoyment.

At the tasting room: I was surprised how ready this was. It is quite delicate, with a strong berry nose and smooth taste on the palate. No sense of a tannin battle. 94+ and maybe higher as time goes by.

Color: medium-light ruby Nose: pretty red fruit, black tea, blood orange zest. A little mint and soil. Stem, green and vibrant. A little spice Palate: this has medium acidity and medium-light tannins, as well as a medium body. Very elegantly replicates the nose with just a little burn, balance is impeccable. The mid palate is a little thin at this stage, needs air; there is some bitterness here as well Finish: medium
Very pretty wine. This is young now but I wanted to get a sense for the 19s. The thinness in the mid-palate will certainly go away in a couple years as this beefs up; aromas are stupendous and will improve for sure with time, structure is there. Clear upside here, just need a little more patience. Best a couple hours after open, i had from bottle
