A real herb and metal bomb, this one. Thyme, sage, bay leaf, camphor, and iron hints that remind me of running rare beefsteak. As others have said, this probably needs another 3 years at a minimum, but I like Syrah when it's young and angry. Like a lot of CA Syrah this has a juicy, almost sour mouthfeel on the finish (bright jam?) that I quite enjoy. After a bit this opens up with tart cherry and charred pork belly without losing its verdant character. Very nice!

Infanticide, although immensely enjoyable with grilled steak Still a tannic tight beast at this point I plan to let the other bottle sit for 5-10 more years

OK, this is a truly outstanding Syrah. Big and bold but not overpowering. Great balance and long finish. Great by itself and paired nicely with filet mignon.

Very, very good. Drinking well right now. Only had one bottle......don't know how that happened.

Shared out at a get together and gone too soon. Silky smooth and wound tight. Should have decanted for a couple hours
