First time seeing this producer. Quite high tone and sharp. Mineral and chalk driven nose, schist and flint with some hints of citrus. Palate gives off lemon notes, with some pith and more citrus fruits. More stone and seashell and we’ll. Some touches of sweet mandarin on the back palate. Drinks quite young and youthful. Could see this aging for quite some time.

This is serious business, and it is immediately apparent even if a bit reticent off the cork. With air it really deepens, takes on a lemon oil and chalk quality, and just smells *good*. Palate is vinous and has some concentration but is crisp and defined. The wood is essentially undetectable as such, unlike the 09 (delicious in its own way). Came away as a favorite after this tasting.

Scala Wines grower champagne tasting (67 Pall Mall, London): Again very 'yummy' as Kieran said. Long. Vanilla balanced by citrus. For some reason this was served colder than all the others. Serious-tasting.
