Lovely bouquet. Carries over to the palate. My 5th bottle. Bought on three different occasions. This last bottle had a clear eucalyptus note. Giaconda is a great producer. The shiraz is very good too. But the 19 estate pinot is my idea of a hallmark pinot. With an address. Beechworth rocks.

Love this. A lovely ruby crystal clear appearance. Very Victorian pinot nose, reminiscent of a classic mornington peninsula pinot. There is earthiness, cherry red fruits, some orange zest as described by the Halliday review. Wonderful mouthfeel, savoury , juicy, a little bit crunchy. Dark berry fruit, some restrained forest floor, smooth tannin, very good length. Drinking well but looking forward to watching it develop!

I've always been a fan of Giaconda, but their Pinot is the most inconsistent label in the portfolio. It really leans on the vintage conditions and can sway from being super elegant to a fruit bomb. The 2019 definitely led to early ripening and it seemed like the vignerons waited a bit too long to pick the grapes. Moderate ruby in the glass. Fruit ripeness explodes right off the bat - sweet raspberry, dark cherry, blueberry, blackberry. Borderline Shiraz nose to this if I dare say haha! The palate is big for a Pinot, but smooth and dangerously easy-drinking. Moderate acidity and finish. A big Pinot that will sell easily, but not something to enjoy on the long run.

This is fucking awesome. Oaky cherries, earthy, black pepper and a very pleasant, round long taste.
