No notes taken. Still very youthful and undeveloped, reminding me a lot of the '71. Some people really loved this, but to me it needs at least another decade.

Still very young, but absolutely amazing. Lots of youthful currant and plummy fruit at the core, framed by vanilla, cedar, smoky and other savoury notes. There's still some grainy tannin here, but the balance is fantastic and it's hard to not keep coming back to the decanter for more.

Unsurprisingly, this is still quite youthful, and fairly tight on opening. Medium intensity nose of sweet black fruit. Rich mouthfeel; loads of approachable tannin still dominate and frame the (plum) fruit. Good, but far from its drinking window.

This wine is in a great space right now. The color is still dark and fresh, the nose is tight for the first hour of being opened, yet the components have started to integrate beautifully. Rich nose of dark fruits, cooked meats, violets, and just a hint of 'vintage funk'. The palate is equally rich, soft and round, but tannins are still quite substantive. Finish is quite long, and seamless from the palate.
I would estimate this wine to be just in its beginning stages of drinkability - wish I had more to give them another 5-10 years.

Dark purple colour, aroma of dark fruit, lovely balance with nicely integrated fruit, acid, and tannins. Sadly my last bottle.
