  • 2 years passed since I’ve tasted this blend of 67% CS, 12% Malbec, 8% Carmenere, 7% PV and 6% CF, aged for 22 months in FR oak barrels, 72% new. Feels bit more focused and pronounced, richer complexity with better flavour integration and balance. Medium+ intensity aroma of blackberries, cassis, sandalwood, cocoa, herbs, medicinal and meaty hints. Full body, broad shouldered and muscular with lush and savoury fruitiness in sync with fresh and tense structure, integrated medium acidity and medium+ sandy tannins.

  • initially, rather closed bouquet, fruity but straight fwd and one dimensional.

day two update: nose is more developed, still fruit with currant and blackberry, but there's more weight, earth and wet leaves, mint. the palate is fruity, a slight sweetness initially followed by some herbal and mineral flavours and a mild bitter but pleasantly green note. the mineral aspect holds on the finish.

  • A Chilean Bordeaux blend, 67% Cab, 12% Malbec, 8% Carmenere, 7% Petit Verdot, 6% Cab Franc.

Bordeaux roots but the Chilean DNA on the nose with medium plus aromas of chili, bell pepper, lots of perfume, raspberry, and cassis. A complex nose for sure.

Deep ruby colour with medium flavours of red plum, blackberry, bell pepper, tobacco, blackcurrant, and minerals. Medium dry chalk tannins that settle after two hours. The best South American wine I've had and I'm glad I have another to see the evolution of it.
