Another Vulture Aglianico punching well above its price point. A delicious midweek wine that could likely rival many $60 examples from Tuscany or Piedmont.
Nose shows a powerful fruit-forward demeanor, tempered by enough of a rustic edge to maintain its identity. Aromas of maraschino cherry, ripe red plum, brown sugar, mocha, olive, violets, garrigue, worn leather, and a pleasant note of wet hay.
Mouthfeel is framed by moderate acidity and powerful, woody tannins, yet seems to be somewhat lacking in mid-palate weight. Just slightly disjointed, but pleasing with rich foods.
Aglianico once again provides great value for those seeking out grounded, approachable and tannic Italian reds.

Agree with other comments. Solid every day wine. Medium bodied nice fruit and tannins
