  • Very personal and special story behind this bottle. Opened the day of Iran’s attack on Israel. The merlot is only a plurality of the blend but’s predominant in the wine. Aromas include dark cherry, black plum, licorice, and dried thyme. Medium bodied and fully resolved structurally: the tannin and acid are both modest in temperament and integrated. Flavors have a slightly salty tinge to them, and include black cherry juice, black currant, dried blueberry, baking spice, black pepper, cinnamon, and tar. This doesn’t show much spark or sweetness on the fruit, and I think it’s time to drink this up asap.
