Loved everything about this. The nose, balanced on the palate and offered up some nice nuances of complexity. If you get the same level in Burgundy you are going to pay a lot more....

Broke open a few of these bottles to impress a date who likes Pinot. Decanted a bottle a few days prior for 3 to 4 hrs. Smoothed the edges a bit, however the power and complexity were …dare I say over baring! What I mean to say is the wine is still young, for my taste. Unfortunately, it seems it still needs some more bottle age to release the obvious deep nuance that’s still hiding within. Seriously well built wine, for the long hall, IMO. The balance of this wine is undeniable, not to mention it having a consistently rich finish. Medium length, yet still, quite a remembrance.

I absolutely loved this wine. Depth and complexity and balance. An American Grand Cru that could hold its own in a tasting of great Grand Crus. The Kistler's just continue to perfect their craft... this is truly lovely stuff.

Really great elizabeth. Silky texture with a great mouthfeel. Delicious on the palate. Rich but light. Lots of red fruit. Distinct orange peel, raspberry cherry. Amazing finish.
