Pale gold in the glass with cantelope predominate on the nose. On the palate the wine is lithe, crisp, and flavorful with flavors of peach, green apple, and flint. Medium acidity with a medium, mineral finish.

67 Pall Mall afternoon: Stood out from the other two as being distinctly new-world but I enjoyed this. Lower acid and sweeter fruit, the oak on this was not as integrated as I would have liked. Otherwise it had appealing citrus fruit and a nutty character to it, just lacking a detail especially in comparison to the other two wines.

Chilled down and opened about a half hour before pouring. Immediately forthcoming with rich oak, apple, peal and lemon citrus accents. The crispness on the nose continues to a lean and vibrant palate. Good acidity through flavors focused on the tree fruits spectrum. Perhaps not the richest fullest plate chardonnay, but leaner in style and perfect to go by a meal.

A very good version of the Marena. Bright, restrained with medium weight this is clearly very young and will get better in the next few years. This must have gone straight to the restaurant trade as I never saw it for sale, but with COVID I think a lot is diverting to retail. I found this in a local store and bought everything I could get.
