  • This wine offers great bang for your buck and is sure to please a crowd. Crafted primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), with a mix of Malbec and Cabernet Franc from Argentina, it delivers a well-rounded taste with layers of cherries, tobacco, and chocolate, finishing off with a subtle black pepper kick and gentle tannins. Pair it perfectly with lamb chops, short ribs, or any hearty meat dish.

  • Holy smokes, did Mascota ever slay this braggadocious Bordeaux blend. Thick waves of blackberry, black currant, strawberry, black cherry, tobacco and chocolate show up strong. A true master of the shadows. Some earthy funk, oak and leather only bolsters the magic, underscored by an epic mouthfeel that boasts spry tannins up front that quickly turn into a grippy wonder at the back. The finish is long, the aromas deep and the flavours gargantuan. Unánime is a name not soon forgotten.

  • Lots of flavor for the price

  • Somewhat immature, and light for a Bordeaux blend. It doesn't feel like time will help this much, but who knows? For now this displays not ripened cherry notes, a little spice. The Cab Franc is very dominant for being a minor character.

  • 2018 Mascota Unánime Gran Vino Tinto (Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina)
This rich red blend (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Franc) is a flavour bomb that explodes out of the glass. Dark ruby in colour, the olfactory assault includes cherry, raisin and cocoa. An almost compote like cascade of blackberry and dried cherry includes a dollop of vanilla and spice and something else nice. Dense and deep, this wine features astounding balance and length, structured with a rebarred reticulum of tactful tannins. A big bruiser that’s somehow still elegant and leggy (think BOTH Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift in a wine glass). Great value.
