okay, this was a wine that, I'll be honest, I passed over grabbing it out of the cellar several times because I was sure it was probably rancid by now. Wow, was I wrong!
This has a beautiful, deep golden yellow color, and a nose that rocks of clover honey and sweet flowers. On the palate it is just as gorgeous, with the same notes and maybe some candied almonds thrown in. Medium length finish. Just a beautiful wine.
This was just stored in a passive cellar for the past five years since I bought it. The last of my five bottles... such a pity.

Essentially the same notes as before. Clearly nearing the end of the drinking window, but still a pleasure to consume right now. Medium gold in color. Rich nose of peach, dried roses and wild clover honey. Slightly off-dry on the palate with notes of dried apricot, granny smith apple skins and a little bit of hazelnut. Medium bodied on the palate. A thin but lingering finish. A somewhat delicate wine, but with a tonne of character. Very nice.

Very deep golden straw color. Nose very reminiscent of a Sauternes, concentrated (dried?) pear, peach, and pineapple. Medium body, good acidity. Somewhat tinny, though, with flavor not delivering what the (incredible) aroma promises. L. disagrees, preferring it to the more Riesling-like viogniers we've had recently.

Slightly off-dry with a bit of sweetness to initial palate, nice floral nose and palate, finishing with a touch of honey.
