Open for business. Luscious dark cherry, earth, hints of spice and cola notes. The finish has a wonderful mineral presence to it. Served this in a blind tasting against a Burgundy and RRV pinot and it held up surprisingly well.

Gorgeous Pinot- very elegant but densely layered. Not afraid to let some oak come into play, which doesn't overwhelm the other components. Somewhat shy but seriously gorgeous nose with dark black cherry, very minerally, supported by brown spices and cedar. Maybe a touch of an earthy/piney accent too, although it's really the multifaceted ways that the fruit and oak intermingled that got my attention. Serious structure too, fine-grained but quite tannic and hefty for a 5-year old OR Pinot and would hold up super well to aging or meaty pairings. Would VERY much improve with time once it opens up a bit, and I don't always note that for Pinot, especially when they're already this delicious.

A good solid, red complementing, most lighter, red meats, fish, and chicken. Could stand a little more time in the bottle.
