Armand Rousseau Dinner: This beauty needs time and a lot of time. Aeration in the bottle for about 4 hours. Pronounced nose intensity with notes of violet, pencil lead, sweet cherry, red fruits, spices, toast. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Long finish.

Drank with 2006 Rousseau Charmes, 2011 Rousseau Ruchottes & 2019 Rousseau CSJ, opened for about 3 hours, dark red, fruit bomb, lots of weight & depth, tight, very young, really need to concentrate to catch this beauty at this primary stage

Woah - a yeasty and massively unevolved nose, practically a barrel sample, not a four-year-old wine. This is not a subtle wine, and frankly as of the time it was served, it was unpleasant. Too sweet, too coarse. The texture slowly takes on a silky note, and the tannins are smooth. The nose, however, never loses its yeasty character. This will need time.

Lively floral aromatics and just such utterly polished and composed red fruit, delicious. (11067)

Wonderfully open nose. So much plush and juicy red and blue fruit. Obviously very primary but extremely forthcoming at the moment.
