  • Drukket på Radegast Vinbar med Alex og Thor Ole. Delt på tre og drukket over drøyt to timer.

  • Women Who Wine & Their Arm Candy (Estelle, St. Paul, MN): Light medium gold color. PNP, drank a glass over 45 minutes. These are always fun and this certainly was too. Golden ripe fruits, ripe lemon, apple, dried apricot, lemon zest, lemon wax, creamy texture, vanilla; this fairly dense and full bodied with good length. The oxidative quality comes through, but is really checked by the freshness and fruit.

  • Oxidative style but so much freshness, depth and verve. Highly perfumed nose of apricots and peach with vanilla, flan and a light sherry background. Much of the same on the palate along with savory caramelized apple, fresh pear and golden raisins. I wasn't sure what to expect with this wine but really enjoyed it.

  • Brilliant deep golden in color. Suggestions of savory chamomile and almond paste. Simultaneously creamy and beautifully supported by acid backbone. As usual, best when not excessively chilled. And as usual for this bottling, it is totally distinctive, in a class of its own. Fabulous over two nights. (On the reserve list— and very well priced, at less than 50% markup from retail) at Café Beaujolais, Mendocino Village. Here’s hoping it remains on the list when we return in a few months.

  • Wow. My first bottle of the Rioja Blanco. What an interesting wine. Expected more of a sherry like profile but was smoother and more balanced. Paired with Paella which worked well. Will definitely buy more of this and other vintages
