Don’t get the searing fruit of condrieu but did get floral notes and lots of nuttiness. Slight bitter finish that compliments salty herbaceous food. Very nice

Fig, honeysuckle, lychee fruit, orange blossom, a hint of vanilla (!), a touch of smokiness, and a distinct spiciness. Gotta say that I didn’t expect this level of Viognier from Ridge. Nothing overdone (this isn’t a flabby Alban); loads of fruit, yes, but plenty of acidity. Tremendous balance. Having been aged in oak (neutral, no doubt), this nevertheless has a kiss of vanilla (and no oak). It’s a beautiful surprise of a Viognier. 100% Viognier. 14.4% alc. With shrimp in sun-dried tomato sauce. 04.06.23. Recommended.

I don’t get the normal flavors associated with Viognier on this —— and that’s just fine. This drinks great regardless:minerals, wet stones and river rocks and a hint tropical.

This was a great drink but not a good Viognier if that sense. Stone fruits and minerals, tasted like white Rhône varietals( Marsanne, Roussanne, Picpol) but lacked that fleshy Viognier character.

A bit sharp nose, light, floral. A bit of tannin, watery, leaves a bit of tart floral.
