Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 90 points

  • Unique, traditional method sparkling wine made in Montalcino with 100% Sangiovese, aged at least 24 months on the lees. Med lemon in color, with a slight pink hue. Vigorous perlage. Fresh aromas of tart red cherry and ripe lemon. Dry, as to be expected from a zero dosage sparkler, but not austere, with med (+) acidity and med alcohol (12.5%). The palate is consistent with the nose, still youthful, with a pleasant, slightly bitter, drying finish. Very nice and very versatile. Worth seeking out.
