quite fruit forward, soft, but full, rich, delightful Uniquely for a sonata Russian River pinot in its fullness and depth and rounded richness. Dark berry flavor comes right out. Tannins gentle.

I opened it and didn't do a great job decanting it. Drinking it on its own... not so great but with thai food (after drinking half the bottle) it was great.
Decanted for about an hour before dinner. Could probably have used a little longer! Classic plum, pot-pouri and tanned leather on the nose. Initially a fairly harsh streak of plum and leather on the palate but softening with a bit of time to some lighter blue fruits, dark chocolate and violets. Drinking nicely with some time in the glass, but this has a whole lot longer to go.

Good rich red candies fruit on the nose. A bit of stewed tomato. Full bodied pinot with a good bit of alcohol. Not an elegant wine and certainly not from Burgundy. I like it but doesn't hit some of the extracted hedonistic high notes I love from Cali pinot.
