Popped and drank over 30 minutes from decanter with Hanger steak. Solid effort with dark fruits and good backbone. The big surprise was that the 2nd day, the wine was actually better. The fruit has fleshed out, wine softened a touch and it was delicious...

Generic California Pinot. Good Thanksgiving wine, some nice nutmeg spice etc, but mostly overripe plush fruits and acidity was a bit too low--was hoping for a bit more subtlety from Anderson Valley. Not bad in any sense and I'd be fine drinking this again, but certainly not a 90 point wine. For sub-$20 it's a value, though, and I am looking forward to exploring up the Siduri range.

Starting to get a little blueberry spice, herbal note, silky, thinner than Hartford Court, elegant, balanced, dry tannins, more lift. Nick Hetzle Anderson Valley Master Class with winemaker Sarah

The slightly sweet nose wafts scorched earth, plum, currant, raspberry, blood orange juice, pencil shavings and top soil. The body is quite smooth and elevated with sturdy, precise tannins that take a minute to settle in. The well-appointed structure frames nicely flavors of semi-sweet raspberry, plum, cherry, roasted coffee bean, dark semi-sweet cocoa and tanned leather. Amazing value for a really good wine.

The Second Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir: Retail $35. A tad meaty with dark fruit and a bit of earth. Another lovely wine: great fruit, balance, spice. Yum. Excellent to Outstanding. 93-95 Points. thedrunkencyclist.com
