a young St. Emilion, magenta in the glass with a fresh and inviting bouquet. Medium to full body on the palate with smooth tannins, cassis, black fruits, violets and a pleasant herbal undertone. Very balanced this wine has tons of freshness and class and is drinking great right now. For ~$50.00 this is a steal and I can see why it garnered such high ratings from the mainstream press. I didn't decant or anything... just popped the cork and let it open up in the glass over 10-15 minutes. I think it's ready to go but I tend to like my wines young.
Decanted prior. Opened up nicely in a 1/2 hr with good fruit but woody in nose. Plum and oak on taste. Silky with velvet mouthful. Plenty of tannin left so can go several more years but drinking well now. Good value for the money.

Florals on the nose. On the palate, milk chocolate, cappuccino, florals, raspberry and blueberry are supported by beautiful acidity (feels Tuscan) and silky tannins. Juicy, very harmonious and understated Merlot which is definitely for "the less is more drinkers". Graphite, cocoa, coffee, and orange on the finish. I love the freshness of this one. Serve at 15-18 degrees C. Drink now - 2038.

Still on the young side, but drinks well with air.
