Somewhat of a thick mouthfeel, ripe citrus/tropical fruits, heavy buttery oak, low acidity. this wine works for an aggressively styled Cali chard, but would be better if it were more balanced.

Quite different than it was 16 months ago. The cloudiness has almost vanished (ending up as tan 'sediment' on the side of the bottle). Carefully decanted. Initial nose and flavor is like a pear tart with a touch of honey and lemon. Texture is buttery, but not heavy. Still some mineral/stone on the palate as well. Medium bodied, lemony yellow color. My only complaint would be the finish....it's a bit hot...the 14.6% alcohol tends to linger on too long.

Initially a bit hot and flat, but after a couple of hours the heat disappeared, replaced by citrus and a nice buttery texture. Really nice.
