Deep ruby with medium plus intensity of aromas on the nose. Dark cherry, black plum, pepper, clove, seared meats; Dry with medium acid, smooth medium tannins, medium plus body and high alcohol with medium plus finish. Palate brings further integrated oak with dark fruits. 2017 Paso vintage is extremely elegant and approachable.

Decanted three hours prior to consumption. I wish I had purchased a case. Gorgeous from the first swallow, this wine is smooth and round with Mourvedre's feral quality perfectly proportioned. One usually has to wait a number of years to experience this level of accessibility, but Paso's 2017 vintage is amazingly congenial in its youth.

Incredibly accessible for young L'Aventure. Deep opaque purple in color, with intense dark fruit notes, blueberry compote, and a touch of smoke. The full-bodied palate is also very soft, blue and black fruits, with good intensity of flavor but not incredibly complex. Slight heat on the finish.

Decanted for just one hour with consumption over the following three hours. This is the most accessible vintage from L'Aventure that I can recall. Immediately attractive aromas and varietally keen, this Mourvedre effortlessly and silkily expands across the palate.

No formal notes but this had a delightfully vibrant mid palate. Not much air given but it showed nicely.
