Nose: so much blueberry, with a touch of molasses Tongue: light on its feet, vanilla, cherry coke, sweet, smooth.
Definitely not for me, it's way too sweet. Definitely a wine to be opened for a slightly above-average budget hens night out. The fact it was WE #10 for 2019 calls into question whether serious wine critics were even involved with the list for that year. Yuck.

Drinking perfectly. Full Body, good color - Soft mouth feel. Plum and other dark fruit flavors from start to end. The finish provides coco flavors that linger. Delicious.

This is one of those highly marketed wines that makes you especially curious to see what all the fuss about. The price seems to go up year after year but this 2017 purchased in 2019 for $69 offers pretty reasonable value.
This is an extravagant, bordering on over the top caymus style wine but less sweet and less extracted. Powerful aromas dominated by oak notes of chocolate, coffee and worn leather with hints of ripe black plum.
Tannins have mellowed after six years. Warm alcohol. Long black cherry finish.

This was a standout year for Austin Hope and definitely in the prime drinking window - very nice and good body.....then they jacked up their prices.

This wine just gets better and better. Well structured wine. Unctuous. Nkce mouth-feel. Big and bold but nicely balanced. Great wine for the price.
Grilled kabobs for dinner.
