Delicious wine. Nice acidity. Fruit is bright and forward. There isn’t huge depth but the Pinot tannins linger on the palate through finish for 20 seconds. I’m guessing this is dijon and pomarde clonal grapes but not sure. It has that mix of herbaceous late body notes that give depth of flavor to the kirsch and red plum.
Drinking a touch more developed than before.

12.3% ABV Western Anderson Valley pinot, near town of Navarro. Vines are 30 years old, on iron rich sandstone, Pommard clone. Fermented w/ 15% whole clusters for 16 days, 25% new oak for 16 months. Very aromatic, blackberry’s, medium bodied, moderate tannin.

Nice Anderson valley Pinot. Really highlights the cool climates. Love the 12.3% alcohol. Soft round cherry fruit, garrique and limestone. Delicious now with slow ox. Very approachable. Not sure of acidity. Seemed moderately bright.

Garnet clean clear wine. Ripe red berries, cherry, strawberry, dried flowers on the nose. Med acidity not as much as expected for this young of a wine. Med+ tannins. Med finish and body. Served slight chilled and was a nicely balanced wine and opened up over a few hours. Black cherry, tea, touch of spice. Not a showstopper but a solid Pinot and enjoyed the low alcohol at 12.3% Not sure on the age ability of the wine but would suggest drinking now-5 years for sure and if you have multiple bottles would like to see this at 7-10 years and how it develops.

This is a go to Producer for new world Pinot and frankly along with Domaine de la Cote the only ones we can relate. Granted we opened this young and far younger than any Burgundy but still the new world side only manifests in its early approachability. Soft and just shy of 12.5% alc, good round fruit, bright but soft and well managed oak. Proper class and a great experience. Buy on side Producer for us in a grape we so far have avoided like the plague in the new world. 92-93
