The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and black currant (cassis). It tastes like black currant (cassis) and blackberry. The body is full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Drinks older than most 13s. Black cherry, prune, licorice, leather, and tar. Great QPR, but no need to hold longer like most of the other 13s I have. And oh, resolved fruit with grippy tannins, like fine sandpaper…mmm

Dark fruit, cassis, cocoa powder, Rutherford dust on the nose and the palate. Definitely feels tightly wound and very dense. Solid structure, and seems like it will last a while.

Deep garnet and opaque. Red and dark fruit on the nose. Alcohol comes through a bit at 15.3%. Palate is all cherries. Bing cherries at first, followed by a sweeter maraschino cherry mid-palate, and finishes with sour cherry. A very light dusty/smoky tobacco note on the finish. Medium+ acidity and medium body. Grippy tannins, even after decanting for 3 hours. It's surprisingly young at 6+ years. I may get another bottle and cellar it for 3-5 years to calm it down. The acidity and tannin definitely show aging potential.
