Pop n pour served over 2 nights. Dark ruby toward plum core; minor bricking at the edge. The nose presents plenty of plum, spice and toast characteristics at first, but becomes more complex with some time in the glass. The palate too, is quite engaging after a few minutes of air time. Full bodied with great Syrah typicity and balance. Smooth tannins and lively acids round out the enjoyable finish. This will be drinking well for at least 3-4 more years. Approx $17, 13,5% abv.

This one's a small treasure. Very tasty and dark, with subdued pepper notes and more forward cherry-like accents in an intense, long tail that finishes with a flourish. It paired very well with last night's of Roquefort and rosemary risotto, drizzled with orange blossom honey.
This one's got a few more years left in it, but it's drinking exceptionally well right now. I agree with previous tasters... this one needs some love from the air for a while to get the best from it. I'll be trying the leftovers tonight (a day later) to see how it held up, too.

Huge fruit, but enough structure to hold it together. Excellent with duck. Dark and very extracted.
