Immediately this rolled across the tongue this shouted "I'm here and I am delicious". Incredible balance, Heathcote and Grampians shiraz, lovely fruit, smooth tannins, subtle acid, hints of pepper and background oak. Will likely cellar for a few more years but well worth checking up on if you have a few in the cellar. 92+.

Vanilla oak, blackberry and plum on the nose. Medium bodied with partially integrated tannins, still a bit rough. Palate of plum, cranberry and black cherry flavors have a semi-dry chalky mouthfeel. Unremarkable short to medium finish with too much heat and tannins coming through. Overall not bad, although was expecting more from a Seppelt. Lacks any signature characteristic at his stage to consider outstanding. Paired well with shepherd's pie.

Sandpaper like tannin with drying acidity. Perfumed dark fruits have now faded hiding behind a wall of tannin. This is probably going downhill...

Once opened up after a few hours, great balance, excellent acidity & depth. On point, but still has yrs left.
