Pre release tasting with Sue Tipton (Acquiesce Winery): Viognier and I have always had a love/hate relationship. I loved it in the 80's and got a few thousand acres planted for my programs. Found over many vintages, it was hard to balance flavors with maturity, way too often to get the flavors the wine became too flat and hot. Sue has created a fresh balanced wine this vintage with delicate but definite flavors and a clean and balanced finish. Best effort to date.
