Note on a bottle that was opened four days ago and the last half of it enjoyed today. It has held up very well considering the long air exposure and it still has plenty of life. I wish most of my French CdP’s tasted like this and I can only bestow my compliments to the winemaker/producer at Devium. 5+11+17+9= 92

P&P. Solid, nice earthy, peppery Mourvedre showing primary, with rounder blackberry Syrah notes. Still a baby...needs more time to integrate. Drink 2019 - 2026.

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, this is the most exciting new winery in WA state in my opinion. Definitely needs a decant but when it opens up its all gravely fruit that doesn’t expire the palate with an umami and savory punch, iron and minerals follow, finishing with lavender and pepper and such pitch perfect acid structure making it scream for food. Has a beautiful play between tart and tangy to savory with finesse but power, excited to see where this winery goes. Killer pairing with NY steak bites. Bravo Keith.

(Devium French Creek Vineyard Red) Shipping UPDATE: While it may beggar belief with our current national deep freeze, we do expect spring to arrive at some point soon, and with it our spring shipping window. Over the next few weeks, as different areas of the country reach appropriate temperatures, we’ll begin sending out shipments. In advance of that, here are reminders for our shipping list members: 1. During our open shipping window, *we ship wine as it is confirmed (in 12-bottle increments)* as long as those shipments do not lead to delivery-date conflicts with dates blocked off in the Shipping Calendar tab of your online account. 2. Please check your shipping address. Please make sure the shipping address in your Full Pull account is correct, and it’s an address where an adult will be present to sign for your packages. 3. Please update your shipping calendar. The Shipping Calendar tab is part of your online account. Within that tab, you can block off any dates where you *do not* wish to receive shipments. ---- Hello friends. We’re back to our roots today with a quintet of Washington reoffers: We have the retail exclusive (for the second year running) on what is about as close to natural winemaking as we see in Washington. Keith Johnson, who has been Trey Busch’s production winemaker at Sleight of Hand for years now, pulls this Mourvedre-dominant (76%) blend (the remainder Syrah and Grenache Blanc) entirely from a cool northeast facing block at French Creek. The fruit was all cofermented, done with 100% whole clusters (foot crushed), 100% native yeasts, and aged for 16 months in neutral French oak (the newest barrels are from 2009), with low sulfur. It clocks in at 13.1% listed alc and offers a profile that captures the wildness of Mourvedre. It’s a compelling statement that Mourvedre should take the lead in more Washington bottlings. Wine Enthusiast: Copyrighted material withheld.
(Devium French Creek Vineyard Red) Phenol55 REMINDER: Full Pull has partnered with Phenol55 for *optional* storage services for our list members. P55 is a full-service wine cellar less than ten minutes from our warehouse, in the subterranean basement of the Malt House in the heart of Georgetown. See here for more details, and then contact Phenol55 if you’re interested in signing up. ----- Hello friends.
