A bit tight at opening and still youthful through the meal, this wine was perhaps a bit less weighty than a comparable Lytton Springs proper bottling but it was nonetheless enjoyable with good raspberry tinged tinged fruit and a nice finish. The last taste gave a great sense of zin essence on the palate leading me to believe there is a good bit of life left in this wine. I wish this weren’t my last bottle!

Score, the same as before, flavors..."ditto", I stand by my word that Ridge and produce some of the best zins I enjoy. I'm open to suggestion here? Unfortunately, this is my last bottle and I was surprised that the vitality of this wine is still going. I may have to start pushing my drink window out for, at least, for this little ZIN that could.

Very enjoyable. Violet nose. The tannins in the significant Petit Sirah portion have integrated. On the palate spice and fruit are still present. Plum is the dominant flavor and not bramble, claret like mid weight in style. If you’ve any remaining, there’s no reason to cellar this further. The time is now.

Ridge can produce very good quality zinfandels. Yes, blends, but who cares as long as the peppery, smokey flavors reach your nose and your mouth. This wine is drinking PERFECT now and as such I may consume my final bottles within 12 months (ok, will keep 1or2 to taste over the next over the next couple of years).

A zin/PS blend not sure I've tried before. Very pleasant full-bodied wine with dark fruit that is drinking quite well.
