Someone else already nailed the notes on this one: plum, spice, oak; though this modern style cali cab works for me. Overall lots of goodness going on from the nose to the palate and with a long pleasant finish. Will let bottle #2 sit as I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops.

July 2018 Switchback Ridge Visit (At Phifer Pavitt): This 2014 is plummy, spicy, lots of oak and while there is some Cab qualities here, it speaks a bit too modern for me. I know this will appeal to some, I just don't have my passion for this style.

Very smooth wine with not much in the way of tannins. Not too fruit forward either. Lovely wine.
