Not mind-blowing, but given the price and vintage, that's expected. It does check all the boxes and more and is drinking well now imo. Intense nose of unmistakable syrah and herbs, great acid, etc
...not a particularly savory Cornas, if that's your thing.
...no signs of brett or funk

Not much experience with Cornas but this definitely fits the reputation for ‘Wild’ northern Rhône syrah. Best after a day, the robe is medium ruby with nose of dark berry fruit, bramble, some animal notes and green wood. Potentially some brett. Medium body with m(+) acid and m slightly drying tannin. Fruit dominates on palate. This is a good wine but lacks concentration, length and complexity on the palate. I would not seek it out again and would not cellar further.

Brought to tasting at Noyes and Cutler. Smoky, cherry, and - oddly - grapefruit Delicious and very approachable.

A very solid and enjoyable northern Rhone.
