  Delicious, a few years added depth and perfection! A great zin with plenty of fruit body and finish

Medium bodied, that high initial intensity Zin has hits right off the bat, nice zin flavors reside here though, prunes taper off in the finish, again some chocolately flavors show as well. If you're holding these it's time to pop one and check in on it, I think it's probably in a nice place now. I like how this is lighter bodied and is 13.4%, it doesn't come across syrupy or overly heavy. Some sweetness does show on the finish, I had a friend try this blind and he thought it was desert wine.

  Medium ruby color. Intriguing nose of anise, clove, black cherries and a touch of caramel. On the palate it has good balance, with ripe tannins and full body (although it claims ~13.5% abv.); flavors of coffee and sweet tobacco. This is a very successful cool climate Zin. (Had in a .375).

  Tried again, this time letting aerate for several hours. Much better. Bright cherry licerice earth on nose. Jam and toast. Then better finish with nice length and bracing strength.
