Yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of apples and minerals with limited nuance and depth and a moderate finish. Balance marred by unintegrated oak in the finish. Probably on the wane.

At Martinelli this morning to pick up some Jackass vineyard, nose of citrus and pear and butter scotch, same on the palate, medium body, good acid, almost tasty, probably better in another 6 months, and a light/medium finish, at $45-pass.

California Vacation (Sonoma, SF, Monterey); 8/5/2017-8/12/2017: Tasted at winery. Caramelized apple, some honey, and mandarin orange. A bit simple. Decent balance, though drinks a bit fruity.

Very good value. $40+ that tastes close to $80+. Acidic for a chard. Somewhat closer to French whites.
