  • Poured at a retailer tasting. Light yellow color. Soft tropical fruit tones, with light spice notes. Dry, with some decent fruit.

  • Not what I expected at all. Not that I was dissappointed, mind you, as I always enjoy something a little different, but this gewurztraminer was almost deceptive, almost playing with me. Classic lychee aromas, but no accompanying floral aromas. Textbook lychee flavors, but very dry with surprising minerality. Hints of tropical fruits, but no kiss of sweetness. As the other reviewer mentioned, there is a touch of bitterness in the finish, though it fades as the wine loses its chill. I doubt I'll buy it again, but it complemented the spicy seafood dish I made wonderfully.

  • Light gold color. Nose is gewurz, but not that obviuos- there's some lychee and tropical fruit, but there's a lemony character, some stone, and the oak is detectable to me. This is almost completely dry with hardly any detectable sugar, the palate tastes more of an austere chardonnay than a flomboyant gewurz. There's a hint of bitter at the end. This is a nice wine, but I'm not used to this style and I was expecting (and hoping for) a little sweetness out of this. Perhaps a few years will cause this to mellow out a bit. I like it, but I don't love it.
