Deep ruby with some garnet color; mild nose of berries and cocoa; medium/ full bodied with assertive tannins but the fruit has subsided compared to another bottle of same vintage year that I drank 2 years ago.

Made with grapes from the Monte Bello estate but it's not a "Monte Bello." Nevertheless, the pedigree is there. Beautiful color and deep, concentrated fruit. Give it at least one hour in a decanter but it will continue to open with more time. Has the stuffing to age a few more years. Paired well with prime rib.
