Excellent, superb wine kept really fresh probably helped by screw cap closure. 14.5% alc. Colour: very bright dark red berries Bouquet: spicy red berries, Grenache impact evident but not dominant. Black cherries, black pepper, black olives, touch of confectionary, oak, liquorice and forest floor. Palate: sour cherries, black fruits, confectionary, pepper and forest floor. Becomes quite full bodied as it opens out and Grenache becomes more dominant. Good balance and easy drinking, with high alcohol not evident. Seems to have good Ph but also nice one finish. {screwcap, 14.5%} Some development - mostly rich and jammy, verging on sweet, at least as far as bouquet is concerned. The palate might be objectively dry, but the sweetly-accented grenache shines through; fine grape tannins (little oak is evident) and soft acid are no match for the thickly lavish texture from the ripe grapes. Doesn't finish hot, but seems to sag a little, somehow. Can't see real improvement here, just further aging.

Deep red in colour, with muted dark fruits on the nose and minimal oak inputs.
The palate is savoury and spicy, in terms of fruit there is stewed cherry and plum that is contrasted against firm tannins and earthy older oak characters.
The Bin 138 style, in minimising oak inputs provides a subtle, fruit driven wine that has good ageing potential.
{screwcap, 14.5%} Big cuddly wine. Ripe meaty and chocolatey and jammy red fruit aromas, a rush of medium bodied ripe fruit on the palate. There's enough (grape) tannin if you look for it; although the wine is as rich and ripe as you'd expect, there's still a core of structural strength that holds it tautly and stops it degenerating into a gloopy mess. Meidum-length finish; this is worth holding a few more years because I think it'll only get more interesting.
