Mark and Jo brought this to our house for dinner. Quite a nice pinot, very floral nose, bit of sweetness on the palate, but seriously structured. Liked this a lot.

Second vineyard that we ran the experiment with - this time with a different set of family members. Here again though the 80% outshone the 20%. Very much appreciated the more earthy notes that the additional stem added. Also seemed to keep the fruit in better balance. I think I might have preferred this one a bit to the Vista Hills - it was a bit more restrained.

If you have this left in your cellar, pull it out! It is at its peak and exceeded expectations. Dark fruit and sediment. Lingering finish.

Earthy, brambly, nice acid, round tannins, well structured. Could go a few more years.
