On my label, it is called Angludet. But this is the best "D'Angludet" that I have ever drunk. Full dark fruit and structure. Very impressive for or a bourgeois.
38 degrees in Brisbane tomorrow. My wines are suffering.
Been cellaring this for 4 years. 👃 Dark berry jam (boysenberry, blackberry) , grafite, sous bois, vanilla once you swirl. 👅 Tannins have integrated, pulled in by the especially silky mouthfeel. Everything on the nose can be found on the taste with a long aftertaste that turns in dryness and tobacco. Even some meatiness opens up towards the end. A smooth sensation with less stingy tannins as the 2015 vintage generally is. Enjoyed with a pepper stake. Also just enjoy the fact that the bottle is filtered when you know it's quality.

One-hour decant through a screened and aerating funnel. Wine was clear: bright ruby from bowl to rim. During the decant, some black currant and Margaux floral came forth. After resting, wine still seemed fairly primary to me. Nice floral and black currant with a hint of vanilla, but not a lot of nuance yet. Same in the mouth: plenty of fruit; good balance; nice flavors; long finish. Just too young in my humble opinion. In a few years I think this will be a 94+ wine, but to me, just not there yet.
