Bright, translucent red in color. Faint nose of strawberries and floral notes. Bright strawberry, cranberry fruit on palate. Simple but pleasant. Fine tannins, could use a bit more acidity, good balance. Finishes moderately long and bright, but undistinguished. I'd drink up over the next 2 years.

Fairly in your face with lots of spice, heat, tannins, and candied cherries. Not typical of RRV. Good nonetheless, but needs more time in the bottle, a good decant, or paired with spicy food or a juicy steak.

Light-medium raspberry in color. Quite viscous for such a light wine. Candied black cherry on the nose. Shy, even a little ethereal. A bit tight (even sour) in the mouth, this does not have the explosive sweet cherry fruitiness of their John Sebastiano bottling from the same year, but it is good nonetheless in its lean, racy form. Finishes a little woody but should come around with some more time in the bottle. For now: 4-10-15-7: 86/100.
