Wonderful energy on this Riesling even at 9 years young. Smell is crushed stone and petrol. Flavor is mostly lime, slightly off-dry (in a good way), with intense minerality, and sharp but not too sharp acidity. Finish is surprisingly long with more weight than one might think. Just a great, delicious wine.

I am an alsace Riesling lover.... But this is great! the colour is light and pale lemon-green with a youthful nose. Besides on the nose, loads of ripe fruit like apricot and peach. But, I do notice that petrol aroma, which is very lovely and integrated here. And more ripe citrus fruit like Lime and Lime juice. On the palate it is almost off-dry, this has medium acidity and mouthwatering mouthfeel. Amazing finish that lingers on for a long time. Delightful!

Conceptually, this is a close relative of a Riesling in the German Feinherb style, with 15.9 gr/l of residual sugar, balanced by 9.1 gr/l of titratable acid. Characteristically however, it is very much an Australian wine, with its waxy and petrolly flavours, underpinned by ripe citrus fruits. Rather light finish. It's a very well made wine, and the moderate alcohol content (10.3% ABV) will appeal to many. But, to be honest, in a good German Feinherb, aromatic precision and clarity would tend to be superior.

Lots of true riesling characteristics - similar to Mosel style. Lively fruit aromas of bruised apple, lime and peach with that tell-tale plastic smell. Slight hint of honey. Off dry, but with high acid to balance that. Full, almost powdery mouthfeel. Long tart finish
