Cracking the whip; 10/16/2023-10/23/2023 (Eagan, MN): N: Watered down fruits like running sliced pineapples under the water and getting the scent of both. A very gentle note of honey, which also seems watered down.
P: Flavors of golden pineapples with its bitter skins, some dried oak and bitter minerals. Good stony character to this.

Wine-a-palooza (Jason's house): This is still nice, but it was considerably better 4 years ago from a normal bottle, and this was a magnum. Definitely oaky with butterscotch and golden fruit. If you have any, drink up.

Wine Palooza (Eagan, MN): Good but not even close to the level of Morgen Long or Tyler. Carmel, spice, pear, apple and oak. Typical Kistler wine and good but not great.

Tasted over 2 days. Definitely a fresh linen nose with notes of stone fruit. Oak and vanilla shows on palate with nectarine flavors and flint coming through from first taste thru finish. A wine showing much better than I expected, quite lovely. A bit better on the first day so I'm not thinking it will age too long. Definitely needs some aeration.

The 2013 Kistler Trenton Roadhouse features classic Sonoma Coast nose of sea spray. The palate is a little tired with age taking away some of the spark that these wines usually feature. This was probably better in a cold cellar and 2 years ago.
