Quintessential entry level Bordeaux with its charming black fruit that is nicely ripe and nicely structured, with overall good balance and graceful elegance. So easy to enjoy.

(Milady) 2005 Bordeaux Magnum Dear Friends, This is one of those offers I'm almost afraid to put out - we've had so many re-order requests for the 750s and this represents one of the finest (if not the finest) bargains for a magnum of 2005 Bordeaux left on the market. We've offered this before and the wine has been called the "ultimate collector's party wine" by one of our oldest customers. Take that for what you will, it's a deep-toned example of 2005 and your next holiday party (or other) will certainly be complimented by its presence. This is the winery's top offering and they must have put every drop of their best wine in this cuvee (and left it out of the Mylord). After the unexplainable 2005 Mylord (one of the worst bottled wines vs. its barrel sample I've run across in my career - I'm still doing investigative research on this and will uncover what went on?), the 2005 Milady has been such a surprise. I'm sitting in my airplane seat right now typing this on my Blackberry before we take off so I'm limited with respect to verbiage (you can look up whatever TN's you need to on the 2005 Milady) - for under $40 in the 2005 Bordeaux chase, this magnum is an insane deal. There are 2005s selling for $50-75 for a 750ml that are not this strong. ONE SMALL SHIPMENT ONLY directly from the source with perfect provenance. VERY RARE in this format: 2005 Milady (Chateau Mylord) 1.5lt Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Bord7280

This needed an hour or more to breathe, but once it opened up it was drinkable and still had some good fruit notes.

Really not bad at all - good complexity and subdued Bordeaux funk - really nice for a mid-week food wine.

This came out of the bottle saying "I'm too old," but with 45 minutes of decanting the edges softened out and the remainder was enjoyable.
