  • This is one of the best Côtes du Rhône wines I have ever had! It had excellent minerality with earthy and spicy flavours and a long smooth finish. Highly recommended!

  • Nat cork. A dark, dull impenetrable purple in the glass. No real sign of bricking or aging. Nose has purple fruit like plum and underlying earth. Something floral like lavender and a sense of hot stones as well. A dusty and dusky profile on the palate. More structure than fruit at this point, very little fruit in fact. Tangy, some salinity, a dirtier old world style. Could easily confuse this for a rosso di montalcino except for the spiciness it has, esp present toward the finish. Theres a hint of old wood as well.

  • PnP. Cloudy w/deep purple color. Nice nose. Taste was slightly chewy and very Rhone. Moderate to full body with right amount of cellar time. Decent balance, musty, nothing special, nothing off.

  • This wine is showing beautifully if you give it a little time in the glass to unwind. Drank this over 2 hours. The way it evolved was a treat. First the fruit with sauvage and spice a little smoke nose. Mouthfeel is full of dimension, and has a rustic elegance of dark cherry and smoke and some cedar in the finish. Smoked pine needles and indian spice made an appearance later, along with a nose of violets and strawberry and some game. Impressive acidity remains to bolster the structure and length of the finish and nice tannins that didn't overpower or taint the beautiful fruit that remains. No oak either on the front end or back end and could appreciate good winemaking skills. Reminded me a little of cahors in its rough hewn ways.
