Several winemakers in Walla Walla sung the praises of old Grenache during my visit and I understand why. Here, at 9 years old and blended with 40% Syrah, it retains its youthful bright red fruit while gaining some tertiary complexity. Caramel, artificial cherry, raspberry, and a bit of iron/rock/minerality.
Medium to light body, gentle tannins, and only a little noticeable acidity. It’s good. If I’m being honest though, it lacks a little complexity. But it’s hard to find any fault when it’s $29.

Consistent with prior note. Really enjoyed this one with homemade pesto pizza. Lots of sediment, so take care with your pours or strain/decant. Drink now - 2023.

P&P. Pleasantly surprised by this one, especially after reading some of the notes. Yes, it's lighter body, due to the Grenache most likely, but certainly not lacking in flavor. Paired extremely well with pesto pizza. Some savory white pepper and bramble notes to go with the strawberry and raspberry fruit. Great acid but not a lot of structure, so I'd consume in the near term. Drink now - 2023.

Consistent with first tasting note. Good stuff, but the 2nd bottle was the best of the 3. Drink now - 2023.

Good albeit a bit on the light side. Not enuf structure to hold up to other than lighter fare.
