Pretty chunky for a Burgundy, but enjoyable. Mid ruby red, on the dark fruit spectrum with plum, bramble, blackberry, a hint of liquorice and spice box. Nicely integrated and well settled down. Very pleasant current drinking, and will still be fine for a few years yet at least I think.

Not bad! With plenty of air the fruit is plummy with hints of spice; the palate chunky with furry tannins. Not exactly elegant but better that than thin and mean.

Quite soft on nose and palate, not very expressive. A bit of grip towards the finish, a little drying and thin. Lacking a bit of depth and generosity. 87-89

This wine is developing, and can easily age some more. Primary aromas like cherry, kirsch, red currant, bramble, plum and jamminess. On the secondary aromas, cheese, butter, brioche and cedar have the upper hand, this is also lovely present on the palate, as well as the juicy fruit in the form of medium acidity and medium + tannins. This is a good wine!

Sydney Satellite Burgundy Tasting 2017 (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): muted red fruit, quite berry, slight herbaceous. Translate to the palate in a little greenness. Not for me.
