Last of a case and always good but IMHO it seems to be fading a bit now. I would probably drink up sooner than later. Still have some 09' Clarendon Grenache Clarendon's that are still drinking nicely.

I have had the 09' 10' and now this 11' of the Blewitt bottling and all have been just fantastic QPR. I've also had many other Clarendon Grenaches like Romas and Kangarilla and I'd have to say all have been enjoyable but I really like the fruit in from Blewitt better. Just like thier Syrah's from multiple vineyard bottlings from vintages 09-11' most have been very enjoyable and always a great QPR for sub $30 cost.

I did not have Zeitoun's patience (perhaps, if I did, my score would have been even higher) but my impressions are very similar to Zeitoun's brilliant description. Just one thing to add: This is dramatically different from (my recollection of) Clarendon Hills' other Grenache bottlings from this vintage. I will try to do a side-by-side with Romas, Kangarilla, and Clarendon. Stay tuned :-)

Dark, medium to full body with a herbal nose and soft velvety tannins and black fruit, and a finish of something volatile or minerally (like sulfur/menthol/camphor) that goes away as you drink more or decant. Given high acidity and alcohol and strong flavors recommend to drink with food. Will update.

Surprising wine! I expected more extraction and “bigness” and was pleasantly surprised to find an elegant and mineral driven expression of Grenache.
Rose petal, raspberry, potpourri, moss, wet concrete, ripe strawberry, violet.
Medium acidity medium- tannins, full body.
Showing its age well now. The tannins and acidity are very well integrated. I would guess this wine as another few years of peak left.
