Dry River Pinot Noir Vertical Tasting and a few others (Le Petit Sommelier): Big nose, powerful, full ripe red fruit, raisin, dates, some plastic nuances, damp forest floor and overripe in general. In the palate, the wine shows again full ripe red fruit, sweet spice, cinnamon, nice oak frame, great structure, chocolate and coffee notes in the med finish. 14.9% alcohol but extremely well hidden. Outstanding quality, drink now.

I was shocked how good this wine was immediately after opening and how it mellowed after several hours. Deep fruits, roundness and balance. Read that these wines were disappointing despite single vineyard / limited production mystique. Don't agree - solid wine with some real interest.

14.9% alcohol. Very ripe nose, with a port-like edge to the lush black fruits. In the mouth, plush and texturally very nice. Also a ripe mouth feel, though, with a touch of flab around the palate. The acidity is subdued. But no heat on the finish. B+

Both bottles we had were bad. Sad as we had never tried it when it was good.
