Annual Pilgrimage to Piedmont; 10/3/2014-10/5/2014 (Piedmont, Italy): Tasted at the winery with Gianluca Viberti. The bottle suggest a modern wine but in reality this is closer to classic than modern. By design the winemaker( his words) aims for early drinkability and wants his wines to be accessible young without though sacrificing quality. And in a way he does achieve that and this his first vintage under this brand ( he has been in wine for more than 20years) is a pretty solid wine. The colour is like pinot noir in a way, with a brownish tint and looks older than it is. Firm on the palate, young but round, round but not simple. No oak here either. 90 but very interesting and a winemaker we would follow for sure.

Tart, good structure, a bit linear but good drive and energy. Not as modern as the bottle would suggest. 88-90
