Opened at Octavium in HK. Slow-oxed and served blind.
Quite happy with myself - guessed 2001 LaLaLas, and was not far off at all. Some around the table thought this was Cab Sauv - but it wasn't quite as big and sweet, and did have some peppery notes at the end.
Wasn't quite sure where to place the vintage as this bottle felt slightly tired, but also didn't exhibit some of the tertiary notes of an older vintage. Drinking well and tannins all resolved but not the best bottle.

Texas BBQ and La Las Dinner at Marc's House (Marc's House): Wow, the 2000 vintage presented as a decade younger than the ‘96 and ‘98 LaLa’s we had by its side. Simply a gorgeous wine and probably has many years left to enjoy. We double decanted for four hours and it probably could have gone 6-7. But four worked well.

I'm a big La Landonne fan, but this bottle underwhelmed relative to the auction price I paid for it. A good nose was undermined by a somewhat imbalanced mouth. Still a good wine, but rewards the price only in the better vintages like 1999, which is immortal.

200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Pirate bottle. Earthy rich, masculine, very deep and complex. A bit rough on the tannins, drying finish.
